Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology of the University of California Davis and is the director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She has received a lot of praise for pioneering the study of witnesses from children as well as memories of eyewitnesses in the context of legal proceedings. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers as well as received numerous grants. She has also was awarded various international and national honors. She has been consulted by numerous authorities and organizations across the world regarding policy guidelines and research concerning child victims within the legal system. She acts as consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations which include those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is an active participant in Psychonomics Society, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
