Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known character is Skyler White on her role on the AMC drama Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and 2014 in the category of Outstanding supporting actress in an Drama Series. Her other appearances comprise Jean Ward in The Practice and Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an elementary school student at Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio, where she continued her love of the stage. The theatre studies she pursued took place at Northwestern University. A semester was completed in the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago, working in theatre roles for many years. Then she moved to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna's first major role was Arden, in Down the Shore. She appeared on 29 episodes. Anna continued to be in film as well as TV shows such Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late the 1990's. Then she was cast in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler was the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood movie and Sully. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the four-part podcast audio drama Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their strained bond and final break-up echoes the final years in Walter White's life.
